BUYER'S GUIDE
DIMENSIONS AND MEASUREMENTS
Make sure to have your dimensions ready. If you are not certain of the exact dimensions of your project, no worries! Having a rough idea of size and shape is helpful. As well, you can get measurements of the space where you want the item/project to be located. For example, if it is a new dining room table, get the measurements of the length and width of the dining room or the floor space where the table will sit.
Many types of furniture, such as tables, desks, vanities, countertops, and benches have standard dimensions. And yet, many types do not. We can work within the standard dimensions and use our creativity and space constraints to meet your personal preferences.

MATERIAL CHOICE
Wood Species and Primary Material:
Consider the kind of wood you would like to use in your project. What tone and color match your existing furniture and decor?
Do you want the project to be made from solid wood, plywood, or veneer?

Secondary Material:
Does your vision for your project include other materials to provide the complete design and aesthetic you are looking for? Such as metal, vinyl, or other materials. If so, consider finding similar images to provide as a reference.
Top Coat and Finish:
Consider the type of finish you would like for your project. Depending on the wood selection, we can use various stains to achieve the perfect color combination. Do you want the final result to have a gloss, satin, or matte finish?

We will use the appropriate finish that is appropriate for the intended use of your project. Generally, we use oils, lacquers, waxes, or varnishes. These products range from a soft to an extremely durable top coat to help protect your final product for years to come.
HARDWARE
Think about any hardware that might be needed for your project. This could include hinges, handles, drawer pulls, slides/glides, latches, etc.
Things to consider:
-
What style do you prefer? (Square, rounded, etc).
-
What material or finish do you need? (Nickel, Copper, Brass, Painted, Wood, etc).
-
Push to Open vs pulls handles/hardware vs finger pulls.
-
Hinges and slides come in many different options. Are you looking for soft-close or self-close?
-
Do you want all hidden fasteners (Screws and bolts are hidden) or are you wanting certain fasteners to be visible for a more industrial look?
